According to its latest regulatory filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Ticketmaster is the latest victim of a high-profile data breach. The attack is part of a larger operation that affects several corporations using the cloud service provider Snowflake.

Data for 560 million customers was put on sale by ShinyHunters for $500,000 on May 27. And Live Nation, the owner of Ticketmaster, is continuing to work with authorities around the incident. Independent researchers claim the leak contains customers’ full names, email, physical addresses, telephone numbers, hashed credit card numbers, and more.

Germany’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, the country’s second-largest, was hit by a massive cyberattack ahead of the European Parliament elections starting June 6. The CDU has more than 370,000 members, and their personal information could be affected.

In 2022, a similar attack hit Germany’s Social Democratic Party, which led to the German government questioning a representative from the Russian embassy earlier this month. Netskope, a cloud-based cybersecurity startup, just announced it surpassed $500 million in annual subscription revenue. Though it is showing strong earnings, it has yet to become profitable. The CEO claims that profitability, rather than going public, remains its number one focus.

The news shows how valuable the secure access service edge (SASE) market has become. Gartner expects it to reach $25 billion by 2027. That allows for smaller companies like Netskope to create a valuable niche despite the presence of behemoths like Palo Alto Networks and Zscaler.
